Hola Pinchito!  Hello little Pintxo!

June 2007 saw the opening of PINCHITOtapas on Featherstone Street EC1, next to Old Street tube in London.  PINCHITOtapas is an extension of the ground floor PINTXOpeople tapas bar in Brighton.  We are looking forward to taking an authentic slice of Spanish life to a corner of the City and Shoreditch. 


Why the name change? 
The Spanish call these small bite size tapas ‘pintxo’s’ or ‘pincho’s’ depending on whereabouts in Spain they live.  Although we love the traditional Basque spelling using TX we have found that as well as being difficult for the English tongue to pronounce, in this modern world we can’t email our database effectively as the ‘X’ is rejected by many SPAM filters! We are hoping that  the slight change to ‘Pinchito’ will resolve this issue.

Location
Set on Featherstone Street, linked to City Road, and only a minutes walk from Old Street tube station, PINCHITOtapas is both on the edge of the smart City, and trendy Shoreditch.   The area and site reminded us of the streets of El Born district in Barcelona, lined with cool café bars and an eclectic mix of people.  The site’s design will reflect our favourite Barcelonian urban-cool hang outs including Santa Maria, Juicy Jones and  Bar Bodega Teo.

Open from 8am to 1am 6 days a week, please pop in and say hello  to Bruce, Tobi or Jason, who will be taking it in turns to keep an eye on things when not in Brighton.
